God – the creator of everything – and his creation are One. Not just a part but the infinite entirety of creation is one with the creator. (Dr. Karminder Singh Dhillon, 2024)
Sikhs also believe in One God (Monotheism).
These two concepts are encapsulated in the symbol ‘Ek On Kar’ ( ). It represents One God, and Oneness of God with the infinity of his creations. (Dr Karminder Singh Dhillon, 2020)
When we realize our oneness with God and all his creations, we realize our divine virtues and destiny. We can do good. We can heal. We can transform.
Sikhs have a personal connection with the infinity of the universe, which makes them care.
It is a step beyond monotheism. This simple and profound Oneness of God and his creations influences so many aspects of the religion. The vast spectrum of Sikh religion, closely coupled ideas, serving others as we serve ourselves, fighting against injustice everywhere, deep and visceral connection with the land and all in it, and so much more. So many aspects of Sikh religion flow from this oneness of God and all his creations.
