Personal Sovereignty Jan 14, 2026

Philosophy

A Sovereign State should not intrude into the life of a Sovereign Individual.
The State considers individual irrelevant and something to be ignored, exploited, and repressed. Every interaction between the State and the individual Citizen is weaponized by the State for wealth extraction. The State works on the principle of ‘Never let a crisis go to waste’. "Government Solutions Worsen Every Problem Government Creates." (Peter Schiff, YouTube , 2022)
This is relevant in our world today where the individual is considered immaterial. State Power, Nationalism, and Nation-State have gone rogue with their intrusion into people’s personal lives in the name of public safety, security, and fake altruism (philanthropy, kindness, generosity, humanity).
Libertarian Capitalism has concept of Non-Aggression Principle (NAP) and non-coercion. No one has right to force another. All interactions and transactions should be voluntary. This means no forced taxes or confiscation. All taxes must be voluntary. There should be no income or property taxes or inheritance taxes. Taxes on consumption are acceptable as people can take their money and spending power somewhere else if they don’t like the price of product or service. This encourages savings and discourages consumption.
Libertarian Capitalism respects Property Rights. It a fundamental right without which other rights have little value. There should not be confiscation of people’s property under any circumstances. There should be no property taxes or inheritance taxes.
Personal Sovereignty is State upholding the Non-Aggression Principle (NAP), non-coercion by the State, and respect for property rights by the State. In practice, we have none of this.
Sikh Way aligns with Libertarian Capitalism.
Personal Sovereignty can only be realized in Libertarian Capitalism. It cannot exist in Socialism or any form of Collectivism where government can confiscate your wealth anytime under the excuse of ‘greater good’, public service, maintaining law and order, security, pandemic, public safety etc.
Most people don’t even know about this and why it is important because the State suppresses mass awareness of this.
Guru Nanak enshrined this in the Sikh holy scripture Guru Granth Sahib. He wrote, “There is no place here for grief or anxiety. There is no financial repression. There is no fear or crime or scarcity.”

Government officials delight in confiscation from the public at the point of a sword.

A Sovereign State should not intrude into the life of a Sovereign Individual.

State Power, Nationalism, and Nation-State have gone rogue with their intrusion into people’s personal lives in the name of public safety, security, and fake altruism.
The individual is considered immaterial.

This not the Sikh Way.
