Why bother with Religion?
The emptiness of our lives. Jan 14, 2026

Scientific and technology developments, capitalism with global supply chains, financial engineering, and over-exploitation of nature has enabled a safe, comfortable and even a hedonistic lifestyle for us today. But governance remains medieval.
Spiritual, economic, and political education is lacking in modern life leading to a spiritual, ideological, economic, and political vacuum that sucks in junk enfeebling ideas.
We fill this emptiness with whatever is conveniently available: vigorous nothingness and vigorous emptiness, loud emotions, constant outrage, pointless activities, elaborate social life, FOMO, consumerism, casual trouble making, mental sickness, and insatiable desire to acquire money and power.
Nationalism, consumerism, atheism, wokism, home-grown elastic and flexible spirituality, vaguely defined humanity, and new age cults of personality are the fastest growing new religions. They have metastasized to fill in for that emptiness in our life from lack of spiritual, economic, and political education.
Religion took generations to mature by people whose intellect, vision, and humanity was far greater than anything we have. It takes superhuman intellect and effort to develop a moral, intellectual and spiritual foundation, and have it accepted by the masses.
We ignore religion at great peril. This will leave a moral and spiritual vacuum. Something far more dangerous will fill this. If you think practicing your religion is outdated and dangerous, wait till you see what fills the vacuum left by it.
Good Religious values refine the person and the culture.
Religion fills this emptiness in our lives with best attempt so far at explaining the abstract, and narrated as rich stories of exploits of those men whose intellect, vision, and humanity was far greater than anything we have.
Religion improves human psychology. Without its guiding power, people suffer. Their mind is full of floating vague abstractions. They have more stress. They do not know how to make sense of the world. Their decisions and actions are arbitrary. Religion strengthens the mind and helps people achieve eternal bliss; mental and emotional strength; and a rational approach to life.
Without religion, the processor for making sense of our world does not exist. We are Empty Inside.
Religion empowers us with love and wisdom to be the best we can be. It grants us status because of who we are. It satisfied our spiritual needs. It makes us part of a community of millions which unites us and gives us strength. It guides us to prosperity and greatness.

Religion guides us to guides us to prosperity and greatness.
